In 2003 I graduated from West Liberty University with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. I have a passion for getting to know my patients on a personal level and educating them on how to maintain a healthy smile. The care I provide is gentle yet thorough, but always done with kindness.I have also become passionate about oral-systemic health, including airway and sleep health. This is what has led me to become an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. My experience in the dental field has allowed me to see the correlation between dental complications and myofunctional/airway disorders.
My husband Joe and I have a son -Bennett and Luna our French Bulldog. In my free time I enjoy crafting and also spending time with family and friends!
Lorena was born in Maracaibo Venezuela, a city located in north-western corner. She graduated from the University of Zulia in Venezuela and worked as a General Dentist. She has also completed training at the University of Yacambú in Venezuela as a Dentofacial Orthopedics She was also part of a research team that studied dental issues among the indigenous population of Venezuela; she was awarded the “Merit Order Dr. Heberto Nava” for her work at University of Zulia Dental School. She had practiced Dentistry for 14 years before she and her family were forced to relocate to Pittsburgh due to the political climate in Venezuela. Her family has always been a valuable source of support for her entire career
Since she was young, Lorena has enjoyed painting and playing volleyball. Her current passions are biking, karate and reading. Her favorite foods are plantains, arepas (Venezuelan dish) and Thai food. Lorena is an innate helper, compassionate with others and very passionate about what she does. She enjoys working as part of a team. We are very lucky to have her as our chief operations officer
I have been a dental assistant for several years. I love the challenges and excitements that are involved in the dental field. Meeting and caring for the patient’s needs and making sure they leave with a smile on their face brings me great satisfaction.
My fiancé and I have four crazy gods. We love to go to our camp and get away. Take the boat on the lake and go on side by sides through the woods. I also love spending time with my friends and family.
